A great teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.
I am kind and compassionate: Teaching is a very humanistic profession, and compassion is the utmost feeling of understanding. By showing kindness to my students, they feel welcomed, cared for, and loved and as a result, they will be more open to exploring the world around them.
I am confident: I am confident in my abilities to sense where students are in the learning process and to come up with appropriate teaching methods to help them achieve the best they could.
I am positive: Staying positive under stressful circumstances can have a tremendous positive impact on students and everyone around us. I believe that looking on the bright side always helps to make things better.
I respect: I believe that each student's ideas and opinions should be valued. By creating a welcoming learning environment for students, they would feel safe to express their feelings and learn to respect and listen to others too.
I inspire: The heart of learning and the most powerful force in education is the connection between teachers and students. I strive to form a strong bonding with my students, to trigger their interest in learning, and to guide it in the right way.Mr. Jason - Supervising Teacher
I have a fun, vibrant personality that allows students to warm up quickly. I'm very consistent in my lessons so students are clear about the boundaries and can have fun whilst knowing they need to work. I have lots of experience and can use this knowledge to create bespoke lesson objectives for each individual student allowing them to learn at their best pace. I love what I do so nothing is too much for my students be it an educational or personal matter.Mr. David – Senior Lead Teacher
Hello everyone, Mr David is the name, teaching is my game.
I teach with a large focus upon the dual - coding theory, using both sound and imagery, song and action, speaking and doing, to help imprint the topic upon the mind. This technique helps store the information in multiple parts of the brain, enabling different ways for the students to access depending upon their preferred learning style.
To compliment this, I push my students to think for themselves. I say the wrong thing to have them challenge me, to help the understand both sides of a conversation and to empower them with confidence in their own knowledge and ability.
My students mean the world to me, I'll forever be expanding upon my knowledge and learning, to help them. I look forward to meeting many more of you in the years to come.Miss Phoebe – Senior Lead Teacher
Ever since I took up my Education Degree, my love for teaching has grown deeper. I believe that every learner is special in his/her own ability, strategy and pacing when it comes to absorbing knowledge. As an English major, I have studied how deep and complicated it is to study the English Language-- some may find it easy, some may find it difficult, and so I always make sure to use different techniques suited for my students. With my TEYL training that has equipped me further to teach young learners, I hope that with patience, essential teaching skills, and making a fun-and-safe environment for my pupils; my students will look forward to learning something new in my class every day.Ms. Elaine - Senior Lead Teacher
Hi there! I’m Ms Elaine and I’m from UK. I have been teaching English as a second language for over 10+ years in Hong Kong from schools, kindergartens and learning centres. Being in a positive and creative environment where students can openly learn and thrive within the English language has been amazing and I am always excited to see many more bright faces walk through the door every day.
It's a joy watching my students grow over the years, and I'm looking forward to seeing where they are headed in the future. My lessons are fun, creative and interactive for the students to make them feel at ease with learning a new language. Most importantly, they can still have fun while learning at the same time. I believe that all children have great potential in learning English and my work is to develop their potential.Mr. Davo – Senior Native English Teacher
I have taught in Australia and China for roughly six years now. I believe I have a flexible teaching style and I love to use various mediums to present learning and also to facilitate the outcomes such as through songs, skits, visual aids, theatrics and body movements. I believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in class.
Did you know that I can sing and play the guitar as well? Check out the “Tiny Talents” song on our Facebook page.Mr. Gil – Senior Native English Teacher
I grew up in a home where the learning environment promotes fun, growth, and love to each member of the household. Looking back, teaching children has always been an essential element in life for me, it allows me to share my knowledge with the young minds of today. I believe in the philosophy that every child is unique, therefore they learn and succeed at their own pace. With my years of experience and continuous growth in the field of education, I hope that my passion for teaching as well as my training as an educator will help free the minds and doors of opportunity for students. It is my mission to help students to be positively inspired with my approach, just as I was influenced by my mentors.Mr. Eugene - Native English Teacher
It fills me with great pride to be able to make an impact on a child’s development during their most important years. I always aim to create a learning environment that is entertaining and engaging, yet flexible to account for each child’s individual needs. Knowing that I can help a child grow and reach their full potential is a rewarding feeling and one that brings me joy every day.Mr. Jeff – Native English Teacher
Since I've started teaching English, I’ve found that the best results come from giving students the opportunity to express themselves through language. Creating a space where children can have fun and be themselves is a natural springboard for them to develop their love and interest in learning. As a result, I try to create a fun environment in my classes for them to enjoy and do their very best in.
As for myself, I have been visiting Hong Kong frequently since 2018 before making it my home in 2020. Besides an undying love for McDonald’s, I enjoy history, playing the guitar and long walks.Miss Yulia – Native English Teacher
Hello everyone! My name is Miss Yulia! I’m an experienced English teacher. I love to work with kindergarten and primary school students! Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Argus and I love teaching! I began my teaching career back in 2018 and have loved it ever since. I love teaching because I get to see students grow over time and use the knowledge they have learned in my classroom. I have worked with kindergarten, primary, and secondary school students. I love working with kindergarten and primary school students because this is when learning is most critical. Not only will they learn English with me, they will also learn important life skills such as perseverance, patience, and communication. At Tiny Talents, I am able to teach in a fun and humorous way. I can’t wait to see and teach your kids soon!Mr. Dan – Native English Teacher
Hello, Hello! I am Mr. Dan. I am a learner by heart and I believe the best way to learn is by having fun doing the work. Everyone has their own unique way of learning but with the right attitude, enthusiasm, support, as well as an environment for learning and fun like Tiny Talents, I believe there is no lesson that cannot be learned. I strive for my students to have a healthy understanding, relationships and self esteem that will support them in their growing futures. Learning with fun is the way to go!Mr. Ayoub – Native English Teacher
Hello everyone! My name is Mr Ayoub, and known as Mr A among my students. I’m an English teacher with years of experience. I have taught English in many countries before getting the opportunity to be here in Hong Kong with Tiny Talents. Working with children has always been my specialty since I started my teaching career. Love, patience and the sense of humor are my keys to assure that students enjoy their learning journey.Miss Elina – Native English Teacher
A couple of years ago I could never imagine that at some point in my life I would enjoy working with kids this much. Once you start creating a bond with your students, you realize that it is not just about teaching a specific curriculum. It's about trusting each other, making the classroom a safe space where students can ask for help if needed. Teaching is about giving all the best you can and receiving good energy from students. That’s what I love the most in my job.Mr. Keith – Native English Teacher
Hello everyone, my name is Mr. Keith. Learning doesn’t have to be a chore, and it doesn’t even have to be boring or tedious. Being a teacher plays a huge part in children’s development, and I am proud to be a teacher that makes sure kids enjoy learning English as they grow and develop into outstanding individuals. My mentor used to say, “Teach not with the mouth you speak or the actions you do but teach with the heart”, and I have always followed that ideal throughout my teaching journey and as I continue to be a better teacher each day. I can’t wait to meet you in Tiny Talents, a nurturing and fun environment for kids to have fun and learn the English Language.Miss Jasmine – Native English Teacher
Hello! I am Miss Jasmine (or Miss Jas for short)! From a very young age, teaching has been one of my passions. As I grew up, this has only gotten stronger. I am currently a university student pursuing a teaching degree in English Language Education to become a practicing teacher in Hong Kong. Tiny Talents is a wonderful place to commence and nurture this passion. Each day is not only an opportunity for these kids, but also for me to learn something new. Every moment is a meaningful one and I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with them. The smiles and questions of my students make lessons so memorable and never a dull moment! My lessons are an open space for everyone to vocalise their curiosity respectfully. I place a lot of emphasis on interacting while learning so that the most is made out of our time together and the students get to practice their English too! Since English is not my mother-tongue either, I am well-aware of how difficult learning a foreign language can be. So, I try to use this experience to help my students better. I am looking forward to an exciting time ahead with my students!Mr. Tom – Native English Teacher
I moved to Hong Kong from the UK and I've been working here as a teacher for 4 years now. I enjoy teaching kids and watching them grow in my classes. In my free time, I chase king cobras and photograph all kinds of wild animals in our beautiful country parks.Miss Deborah – Native English Teacher
I believe that each student is unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can fully express themselves along with nurturing them to achieve their potential. As a teacher, I understand the importance of creating a safe environment for students by incorporating fun games and interactive activities into lessons. I take pride in getting to know my students and I enjoy taking an active role in supporting and challenging them to gain in-depth understanding of the subject matter. Looking forward to everyone in my class.Mr. Isaac – Native English Teacher
Hi I am Isaac and I have taught English for about 3 years now. I have taught everything from 3 year olds to adults. I prefer teaching middle schoolers, because I feel it is there that they need a teacher with the right balance of fun and discipline. I love teaching all ages but I find it very enjoyable to make sure the ones who have been doing it for some years don’t get bored with their progress and keep moving forward to fluency.Mr. Mathew – Native English Teacher
Hello! I’m Mathew! As a teacher, I believe that every child is a unique individual with endless potential. I aim to bring out that potential by expanding their knowledge in English, building positive relationships and providing a safe environment for open communication. Helping children gain the confidence feeling proud of their accomplishments are the first steps of loving to learn.
As an educator, I love using music, art, and theatrical skits to allow children to engage with the class. Daily oral discussion is also an important teaching tool as it helps children gain the confidence to freely speak English with no judgement. There are no right or wrong answers!
