Joanne Ting, CA - Program DirectorA great teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.
I am kind and compassionate: Teaching is a very humanistic profession, and compassion is the utmost feeling of understanding. By showing kindness to my students, they feel welcomed, cared for, and loved and as a result, they will be more open to exploring the world around them.
I am confident: I am confident in my abilities to sense where students are in the learning process and to come up with appropriate teaching methods to help them achieve the best they could.
I am positive: Staying positive under stressful circumstances can have a tremendous positive impact on students and everyone around us. I believe that looking on the bright side always helps to make things better.
I respect: I believe that each student's ideas and opinions should be valued. By creating a welcoming learning environment for students, they would feel safe to express their feelings and learn to respect and listen to others too.
I inspire: The heart of learning and the most powerful force in education is the connection between teachers and students. I strive to form a strong bonding with my students, to trigger their interest in learning, and to guide it in the right way.
Jason Price, UK - Supervising TeacherI have a fun, vibrant personality that allows students to warm up quickly. I'm very consistent in my lessons so students are clear about the boundaries and can have fun whilst knowing they need to work. I have lots of experience and can use this knowledge to create bespoke lesson objectives for each individual student allowing them to learn at their best pace. I love what I do so nothing is too much for my students be it an educational or personal matter.
Mandi Tang, CA - Supervising TeacherI was determined to be a teacher when I was young. I graduated from the major of Early Childhood Education and I am definitely familiar with child development. I love to see how children grow. They need a positive support system, especially when learning a second language. They learn from me as I continue to learn from them as well. I've been teaching young kids for more than 10 years and I still love what I am doing. I love trying different games and learning methods from time to time. Although I don't have perfect pitch, I love singing to my students all the time.
Cindy Wong, UK - Asst. Supervising TeacherI thoroughly enjoy working with children as no two days are the same. Children always bring a positive and infectious energy into the clasroom which I strive to maintain by making my classes as fun and as interactive as possible. Teaching can help children to grow in many ways, but the ultimate goal is to encourage them to realise and reach their full potential. As a teacher, I am committed to help guide, support and inspire children not only academically but also personally.
Peter Braun, UK - Senior Native English TeacherI am a teacher because I feel there is no higher calling than helping children. I love to inspire my students every lesson and make learning fun and exciting. All of my students have different needs, therefore it is essential to listen and have patience to build a solid learning foundation. As a father and teacher, it is a great joy and reward to see children grow, understand and appreciate the world around them.
John Titov, CA - Senior Native English TeacherJohn My belief is that an upstanding teacher is someone who can touch the hearts of their students and provide a fun and vibrant learning experience. They should also be open to adapting to any and all situations at a moments notice. I have been a teacher across the world; from Canada to the Middle East and to Japan. Along the way, I have equipped myself with priceless knowledge that I put to use everyday for my students. My hope is that they will one day grow to be amazing people and share what they have learned to others. I take great pride in my personality, I will always go to great lengths to ensure that the students within my care are being given a proper education and have fun doing it.
Kathy Lau, CA - Native English TeacherI love working with children and enjoy teaching very much as I have the opportunity to watch them grow and develop. I have a big heart and love all my children equally. I am fun and cheerful and like to make my students laugh. I am patient with my students and always looking for different ways to help them work through challenges together.
Kerry Lai, UK - Native English TeacherKnowing that you can be part of the reason behind somebody's development, making a positive impact on their lives, brings a great sense of achievement. I believe that as a teacher, it is important to be patient with your students, and to show them lots of encouragement; positive reinforcement can lead students to develop good learning habits, allowing them to work to their full potential.
Michael Yeung, UK - Native English TeacherI am a hardworking staff here at Tiny Talents who's extremely passionate about teaching and interacting with kids. I want not only allow my kids to learn the basic principles of English, but also be able to understand the use of language, and apply this knowledge in the outside world. I aim to prepare and develop their skills in preparation for higher education and become a successful candidate in the future.
Patrick Ma, US - Native English TeacherI grew up in America where I received my English literature degree at UC-Berkeley. After that, I moved to Japan to teach as an Assistant Language Instructor. Working as a teacher in Japan was when I discovered my passion for teaching. Teaching a foreign language is much more than teaching students proper grammar and pronunciation. It is also equally important to build meaningful connections with students and support them as they achieve their goals. This experience motivated me to re-visit English grammar as it relates to second language learners' understanding of the language. I want to become a more competent language instructor, so I can better prepare my students for a globalized future.
Tiffany Chung, UK - Native English TeacherI am a very passionate, aspiring teacher who adores working with children and educating them in the most fun, yet informative way. I aim to create a pleasant learning environment for my students, to ensure that they are thoroughly enjoying their learning time with me. One of my favourite traits of being a teacher is being able to work with the different and unique personalities that the children have, and building a respectable relationship with them so that they feel comfortable enough to fully express themselves to you.
Sarah Kueh, UK - Native English TeacherThe role of a teacher is to create long lasting impact on their students and to inpsire them to be the greatest, by being their mentor and a friend. I personally find teaching fulfilling and rewarding. Through their eyes, you will keep your sense of wonder and try to live life to its fullest.
Hina Moises, UK - Native English TeacherI want children to learn in a safe and comfortable environment so that their self-esteem will be increased. A high self-esteem will enable them to strive for and accomplish any goals they set for themselves. As a teacher, I will play a part in helping them to do that. I will have the privilege of shaping future parents and productive members of society. For all of these reasons, I ask myself, what better job could there be? My answer is none. Teaching is more than a job, it is an important contribution I can make to better our society and I am excited about the opportunity to do so.
Edward Juhn, USA - Native English TeacherI have always wanted to be a positive influence by improving the quality of education. My parents are both teachers and they have been my greatest inspiration. My high school English teacher also motivated me with his unique teaching style. I love children and take pride in gearing their developmental stages positively. I want to be known to teach my students beyond their books.
Harry Ip, UK - Native English TeacherI wanted to become a teacher because it would allow me the opportunity to grow, develop and gain different types of experience and skills with my students. I have always wanted to work with children as I enjoy seeing their development and progression improve day by day. Knowing I have guided them through this process gives me a huge feeling of accomplishment.
